CALP GED Preparation
If you didn't finish high school, you can achieve high school equivalency by writing GED exams. Portage College has exam centres in Cold Lake and Lac La Biche. CALP can help you prepare for the exams, working at your own pace to improve your math, reading, and writing skills. Materials are provided.

CALP Computer Literacy
Navigating the internet is now a basic literacy. Lack of computer literacy skills can leave a person disconnected from services, information, and colleagues. Communicating and accessing information online requires skills and knowledge, and this is where CALP can help! Learn how to understand your computer, create and access emails, communicate with family, identify reliable sources of information, and feel comfortable online. Or, without going on the internet, learning skills such as how to navigate on the computer or how to create and organize files. Use the library computer or bring your own.
